Hi, everybody. Just me, Elizabeth, here today because I have some very sad news that, unfortunately, Andy's dad, Malcolm, passed away.

We found out while we were here in Bordeaux, Andy, flew back immediately to be with his mom and brother, and I am taking

the kids home very soon to get back to L.A. so we can all be together, and then we're going to have

a celebration of life for Malcolm very soon. Obviously, this episode's not going to be the usual thing, but I did want to just say

thank you all so much for letting us kind of bring some of Malcolm into the podcast. I wish we had

done so much more, of course. But this past year, his field correspondence pieces on nobody's

news and some of the chatting Andy did

with him on nobody's listening right are some of my favorite moments of podcasting that we've

ever done in the 15 years we've been doing it.

And that just speaks to what a great guy he was.

And you all fell in love with him too. And that just speaks to what a great guy he was. And you all fell in love with him, too. And the

demand for him to be on was understandably very strong. And so I'm so glad that collectively,

I feel like you got to know who he was and how he was so unique and hilarious

and wonderful and dry and such a special guy. So if you want to hear any of his field

correspondent pieces on Nobody's News, I think they were usually on Fridays.

And for this week's episode, we felt it was fitting just to share one of our favorite Malcolm moments.

And as you all know, he had been diagnosed with stage four melanoma. So

this wasn't unexpected, but it just feels still too soon. And so we're still just kind of getting

our bearings. And we hope to be back next week,

if not next week, definitely the following. But please just be patient with us. And of course,

I know that Andy and his mom and brother and all of us could use a little love, prayers, if that's your thing, sent our way.
