Okay, so we are recording on Tuesday, June 2nd at a little before noon East Coast time.

And I think that's relevant because for some amount of this show, possibly the entirety of the show,

Mike and I are going to be talking about the really unprecedented things that are

happening in the United States of America right now. And if that's not for you, that's

totally fine. We will definitely have chapters in this episode, and it may be that there's just

one long chapter. I don't know. We'll see how this goes. But if you don't want to hear about

this sort of thing, that's understandable. I will just say as a point of order, though,

you should listen to it. I agree. I agree. You got to think to yourself about why you might

not want to hear this. And if it's just because the idea of this type of stuff just makes you uncomfortable,

maybe you should listen anyway because the uncomfortability may be shielding you from

understanding.

Because that's what I'll add.

I think it's good to point it out in case like you're not in the right mental frame of mind

today to hear this, but it might

still be worth coming back to another time. You know, you might want to understand why don't I

want to hear about protests and police brutality. Like, why don't I want to hear two people talking about

that? And that might be important.

But the reason we're saying all of this is because, you know, this episode won't come out until Sunday the 7th.

And we have no idea where anything will be by that point.

That's your very muddied content warning, I guess. Indeed. And it's also probably

worth disclaiming and noting up front that we're two extremely privileged white dudes who are talking

about things that really don't directly affect us, question mark. Maybe we can explore that.
