All right, guys, let's wrap up the week. We've been camped out in Jesus' high priestly

0:24.4

prayer as recorded in John 17. Yesterday, we looked at verses 20 through 23 where Jesus

0:29.3

was praying for those that would become believers. Today, we're wrapping up Jesus' prayer

Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am to see my

glory that you have given me because you love me before the foundation of the world.

0:48.1

O righteous father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that

That they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am. So again, these disciples were sovereignly given to

1:31.1

Jesus by God. And in this line, Jesus reveals the ultimate of ultimate goals to be in the

1:37.1

eternal presence of Christ. And with that, eternally be in fellowship with Christ. So Jesus is longing

1:43.1

for believers to be with him for eternity. And I mean,

1:46.2

just think about that, guys. That's kind of insane. To see my glory. And just think about this too, guys.

1:52.6

Remember when Moses asked God if he could see him? And God was basically like, okay, but let me put you in

1:57.7

between these two rocks and I'll just let you, you know, smell my stank trail. Because if I actually show you me, you're going to melt, right? So now Jesus, the Son of God,

2:05.6

part of the Trinity is earnestly praying that believers would be able to actually see him for all

2:12.7

eternity. I mean, that is just so completely awesome that you have given me because you loved me before the
