She does many other things as well, but this is just an example of why I love doing

this podcast. I go on like many of you. I like most of us these days, you check in, you go,

hey, I'll take a peek at a screen. I'll turn on the news or scroll through my

Twitter feed or whatever it might be. See what's going on in the world out

there and then and then it's horrific, mostly because the news and whatnot

fetishizes violence and all of these graphic, hyper salient things that grab your attention and click bait you.

That's only part of the problem and triggering your negativity bias and all that good stuff

that we get to hear about on the show and it's just the news all that say it'll

turn anyone into a pessimist over time but then I get to go around and I get to talk with

all these wonderful researchers who are out there doing what they can to improve the human condition and it just gives me hope when I get to have guests like today on

fantastic, I'm so fantastic research and really rooting for her in this

research to really take off. Any you guys that want to see my stand-up comedy? I have at the end of August. I'm doing some

shows in Florida. I have Sarasota, Florida. I have my schedule's been really up in the air lately because I have some exciting projects

that I can't quite tell you about yet, but it looks like I'm going to be in Miami, it looks

like I might potentially be doing some shows in Gainesville, Key West, some other areas of Florida. Assuming I don't have to scrap all of those plans for some other things, but I'm

working on a bunch of cities around Florida for the end of August right now.
