Today we wax on with filmmaker Jack Coleman. You've seen his work. I'm really pleased

to be able to bring you this conversation with Jack. We talk on this show a lot about surfers who

you'll kind of stop whatever you're doing to watch whenever they drop an edit or a video piece,

like Dane Reynolds or Mason Ho, you stop

what you're doing, you watch it so that you can participate in the conversation with

everybody on the internet in real time because everybody's watching.

Well, there's not a lot of filmmakers that I would do that for, but Jack is actually one

of them.

Whenever I see one of Jack's short edits pop up on the internet, I stop and I watch it because

they're fun and they're interesting.

And I mentioned that you've probably seen his work.

He does these commercial shorts for companies like Visla, Mollusk, Surf Shop.

They're embedded all over the web.

He does his own, too, that aren't necessarily branded by any company, but they feature

surfers like Rob Machado, Alex Nost, Ryan Birch, Ozzy Wright, and he's actually made a few

feature-length films as well.

Most recently was this last year, it was called The Zone. And then prior to that

was Groove Move. And all of the A-plus clips that he filmed throughout the course of the year

are reserved for those feature-length projects. And some really iconic sessions have gone
