Today I'm bringing you an episode of shaping surfing with Dane Hans.

Dane Hans is a surfboard shaper, of course, and his label is Vulcan Surf.

And I'm not even sure exactly how I first encountered Dane.

I'm almost certain it was on Instagram.

And I think maybe Ron over at Board Porn mentioned that I should interview Dane at some point.

And so I started following Dane and his boards are really, really incredible.

But I had never met Dane prior to recording this episode, which sometimes happens, sometimes doesn't.

I actually really liked Dane a lot.

Dane, I think in the best version of myself, I would like to think of myself as being

creative and intelligent, and Dane is both of those things.

And so a lot of what he talked about really resonated with me.

And a lot of kind of his business, the way that he runs his business, the way that he views

life and work balance and his philosophy in dealing with customers, all of it just really

resonated with me and you'll get all of that in this episode.

But I just wanted to mention that I didn't know Dane prior to recording this, and I really, really

enjoyed his company.
