Welcome to the Lord of the Rings lore cast, the show that explores the background of

0:11.0

Tolkien's amazing world from the very beginning.

0:15.0

When we go back and we read Tolkien, there's something that happens fairly often.

0:29.5

We come across antiquated words or phrases, and I've taken a lot of time throughout the series to point those out

0:36.3

and to try to explain the meaning behind them, the use of them in Tolkien's work, and how all of that fits together.

It also comes across a little bit awkward because, well, here's the phrase,

1:57.4

every worm has his weak spot.

2:00.7

The use of the his weak spot.

2:07.6

The use of the word weak spot here feels like something that we would say in today's society,

2:08.8

especially among gamers.

2:17.2

When you fight a boss and has this glowing little section of, I don't know, the boss's face or midsection, you go, oh, that's the weak spot.

2:17.8

That's the place I need to target in order to do any damage or the most damage or whatever
