0:00.0	We are in the middle of March, and for most of us, we already have plants growing in the garden
0:06.3	or we're getting really close to planting. So far in 2021 on the podcast, we've talked a lot about
0:13.7	garden planning, and we've had some amazing guests that have been able to inspire us in our garden
0:19.6	planning. But we are wanting to shift a little bit
0:22.7	more now as we get closer to the growing season or maybe you're in the growing season to actually
0:28.5	growing your crops and getting the most out of what you've got planned for your garden. In doing that,
0:34.7	I want to introduce you to a new series that you're going to be hearing more about this year, and that is called What Can Go Wrong.
0:43.9	My plan is about once a month, I'm going to dive deep into a particular vegetable that you'll be growing in your garden and talk about different things that can go wrong with that vegetable.
0:56.6	Now, I'm not typically a pessimistic type person. I'm definitely an idealist and I look at all
1:02.9	the bright sides of things. But I also know that when we are in garden planning mode, we
1:08.4	not always take into consideration the challenges that may arise with a
1:13.1	particular crop. And if you're a beginner or you're growing a crop for the first time, I think it
1:18.8	would be helpful to understand what challenges those might actually be. Now keep in mind, you're not going to
1:26.2	encounter every challenge that I talk about. And I'm also not
1:30.1	going to talk about every possible challenge that any gardener can ever face. Instead, I'm going to be
1:35.8	talking about the most common ones, the ones that I hear from you, the ones that I have experienced
1:40.7	myself. And my hope is that through this series you'll be able to go
1:44.7	into your garden with more of a broader perspective of how to successfully grow
1:50.3	these crops and to avoid some of the most common pitfalls and challenges in them
1:55.3	today we're going to be talking about carrots I chose carrots because a lot of us
2:00.3	are growing them right now,
