It's a famine.

Elijah is sent to a widow in Zarefah.

She has barely enough to feed herself,

but somehow her food continues to feed herself and her son and Elijah and then the son dies.

Why had God sent a famine to Israel?

Well, at the time that he sent a famine,

King Ahab was really a bad king.

He had become king of the kingdom of Judah,

Mary Jezebel, a princess of Seiden, S Ido N. Now the Sidonians were one of the Phoenician peoples and they had settlements along the coast.

As a result of the marriage, King Ahab began worshiping the false Sidonian gods.

He even built an altar to bail, which was the idol of the Sidonians, and then erected an Ashera pole, which was a symbol of Bale's wife.
