And Trisha, we just met, but I found out that we probably have met in our past.

Indeed, we have.

Our Venn diagrams overlap in a really big way.

Yes, so we went to the same church growing up in Akron, Ohio, and I know your mom. It's been a long time since I've seen her. But we were just comparing notes on all the people that we know. Lots and lots and lots of people. I know. So it's really weird that we both live in Colorado now, right? It is. It's kind of a magnet out here, and we get here as fast as we can. I know, yeah.

But Akron's always home for me.

I don't know about you.

I feel like my heart lives in Ohio and my soul lives in Colorado. Heart lives in Ohio, my soul lives in Colorado. I'm going to have to think on that one a little bit. Yeah, that the people, there's a lot of people that I love in Ohio,

and I feel like the Midwest is a great place to be from,

and I love going back to visit, but this is just where I thrive now. So it's great to kind of belong in two places. Yeah, that is a good thing. And you've lived here now for how long? 14 years. It's a lot of my existence. It is. Right? Yeah. I have two natives now that I gave birth to here,

and so it's home now. I guess that's my problem is my three boys were born in Ohio, so. That's a difference. Yeah. Yeah. And all my family's still back there, so I don't know. Feels like a lot of me

is still there. Yeah. Yeah. That's very legit.

Yeah.

Well, you have written several books just on your personal journey.

And one of the pieces that I want to talk to you about today is something that you've

experienced very personally, which is grief.

And how do we find God in the midst of grief?

So I know a little bit about your story of grief,

but I love for you just to tell it, just what your life was like

and how the bottom dropped out for you

and then how you began to seek the Lord in the midst of that.
