Welcome to another episode of At The Table with Patrick Lynn Choney, where everything we

0:13.7

talk about is related to organizational health and the world of work.

I'm your host Pat Lynn Choney and I'm joined by the full crew and I was listening to one

0:22.6

of our podcasts this morning just to see how it went and I decided I'm not going to do

0:27.2

the introduction of everybody again. I will just do it all at once. How are you all doing?

0:31.7

Awesome. Fantastico. Perfect. Okay. Very nice. Very nice. We got Matt and Karen in

0:39.4

studio today and what is our topic today? Cody. Decision making is overrated. That's right.

0:48.5

My wife was in the office today when we announced this and she was like, that's a weird

1:23.9

time over emphasizing the decision? That's a great question. I mean, I think it's a few

1:30.0

different things. One, I think decision science is more fun to study. It's in a box. It's

1:36.2

easy to look at. It's like right there. I think the other thing is we're afraid of having

1:42.6

to actually overcome things in implementation. Implementation's hard. Decision is easy.

1:49.5

So if we could just make the perfect decision, then maybe we wouldn't have to implement

1:53.1

and do the hard parts. Those are my first two. What do you think, Cody?

1:56.4

Well, I think the other thing that comes to mind, Pat, is people tend to devalue things

2:01.7

that happen quickly. They think you didn't spend enough time or you couldn't possibly have
