0:20.1	All right, welcome back, day four of this week, this deep dive on the
0:23.7	Ten Commandments. The reason I'm clumping these together is I want you to get the meta-narrative.
0:28.5	Instead of doing a deep dive on each one, maybe I'll do that eventually one day. I want you to
0:32.7	see kind of the whole picture here. So again, the commandments are a grace gift of God that God didn't wait until
0:39.8	the Israelites got them all right before he rescued them out of slavery. By his grace, he rescued
0:45.3	him out of slavery. And then he gives the commandments as a gift to his people so that they would
0:49.8	know how to do two things, how to love God and love each other. And so really, commandments, five, six,
0:56.9	seven, eight, nine, and ten are how we ought to rightly live with one another. But we will not be
1:02.3	able to rightly live in love with one another if we don't first see God for who he really is.
1:08.1	And we know how to rightly love him because he loves us first.
1:11.7	And so beginning with commandment number five, beginning of verse 12, says this, honor your father
1:16.8	and mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord of your God is giving you.
1:21.4	Commandment six, you shall not murder.
1:23.9	Commandment seven, you shall not commit adultery.
1:26.9	Commandment eight, you shall not steal. Commandment nine, you shall not commit adultery. Commandment eight, you shall not steal.
1:29.8	Commandment nine, you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor and commandment 10.
1:35.3	You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male
1:40.2	servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that is your neighbors.
1:46.8	You see, God is saying the way you need to treat people, Jesus is going to come to say this,
1:51.5	man, the golden rule is this, just treat people how you wish they would treat you.
1:55.7	And this is how we wish people would treat us. And the reason that we treat people this way
