And it looked pretty accurate, although David Letterman asked Christopher Walken whether or not the rumors were true that Danny, to get into character, would, uh,

Nash's teeth and Naush on raw fish. Christopher Walken said, I don't think so. I don't think that's true.

Oh, Christopher Walken ruining everyone's fun. When was the first time you saw Batman Returns? I think I must have seen it as, as a kid.

Wait in the theater or, no, not in the theater, because I wouldn't, I mean, I was, you know, I was born in 89, and this guy on 9, 94, at 93, 94.

Uh, 92, yeah. So, no, but it's, oh, 92. Oh, this was big amongst three year olds, as we'll get into later. They, they really loved bringing kids into this movie.

Well, well, but also didn't say this one. I remember they had, um, McDonald's toys and then McDonald pulled the sponsorship.

And it fucked up the film. Um, you can actually, let's hear one of those McDonald's commercials.

Yeah, I, again, I live in the UK. The supersized thing is, is a myth to us. Oh, it doesn't actually exist over there. Okay. No, I don't think I do fight it, charming how most of the folks in the UK call it Mac Donald's not McDonald's right. And, you know, my name is spelled Mac Neil, but it's pronounced McNeil.

So it's one of those ever changing, ever shifting. Yeah. So, so McDonald's pulled the thing, didn't they? Because the film was just too dark. Well, they had it running for a while.

And there was a lot of controversy. And the interesting thing I find is the kind of stuff that we're going to hear, the outrage, the outcry about the darkness of the second film, because I rewatched the first film or a chunk of it earlier.

And nothing's much darker than the Joker.

Yeah, I mean, he, he, a woman's face is like completely mutilated. Yeah, as his art. Yeah, he is playing a character that would not be out of place in David Bowie's outside of

the film. It's, I mean, the first one I find actually, I actually, maybe find the first one darker because though the, the palette is darker in, in returns, it's, it's a lot more cartoonish.
