| 0:00.0 | I want to thank Lens Rennels for supporting this podcast, along with hundreds of thousands of other people, |
| 0:15.8 | we're actually customers of Lens Rennels. |
| 0:17.8 | From Lens Rennels, you can rent photography and videography equipment. |
| 0:21.1 | They have world-class customer support. You also have a great program called Keeper. You can rent equipment from the website, and if you just have to have it, you can pay a discounted price to keep the gear. Lens Rennels also now house drone equipment. You can rent DGI Mavics, Phantoms, Inspiretos, and much more. You can check them out at flighttest.com slash lens rentals. And if you use our specific link, it actually directly supports our team. So thank you. Again, that's flight test.com slash lens rentals. All right. Well, welcome. What's happening? Sorry. Welcome to the podcast. We have Josh Bixler and Austin Fury here with us. How's it going? Which is fantastic. By the way, this episode is not sponsored by Starbucks. |
| 0:38.0 | Not yet. |
| 0:38.4 | No, it is not sponsored by Starbucks. Not yet. No, it is not sponsored by Starbucks yet. I'm going to see it retroactively if we can get a sponsor. Should be sponsored by Dow Egbert, man. That's right. It's good stuff. It's a great idea. So yes, thanks for listening in on whatever platform that you are doing so, thanks for being a part of this podcast |
| 1:12.4 | with us. We always enjoy having you guys here. So those of you watching and also listening, |
| 1:17.8 | thanks so much for all that you do for us. Got a lot of updates today. We do. We do. And the, |
| 1:22.3 | first and foremost, the first one we're going to talk about today is something that we just |
| 1:25.9 | actually sent an email out about. Hopefully you're on that email list that you get all our updates because it's a fantastic little situation. If you're not, you can. FlightTest.com slash newsletter. Flytest.com slash newsletter. If you want to hear from us on a semi-regular basis. Because we're hardly ever on the social media. Yeah. Right. That's true. Yeah. Just kidding. No, but yes, flighttest.com slash newsletter. If you want to get all the awesome, cool updates that we have. And one of those updates was A main hobbies. And Hobbytown USA. Yeah. And Hobby Town USA, that's right. Awesome. And safe to say, we finished off a crazy quarter of a year. Starting about maybe two weeks before Flight Fest all the way up until just last week is when we finally got back to our routine. |
| 2:07.3 | But one thing that was in the middle of that crazy quarter was Austin, you and I flew down to meet up with some great folks at Amain. |
| 2:15.1 | I completely forgot we went there. |
| 2:16.5 | Yeah, well, we did. We were also checking out next year's possible West location looking for other airports because I really think we're going to outgrow Balejo. So we went down there, but we met up with a gentleman from A Maine at Flight Fest West. Yep. Built a really good relationships. And during that time, they kind of shared their hearts on how they view the hobby, and it really aligned with us well. So we really wanted to check them out. But one thing that's really evident is a majority of our community is on the West Coast. And we don't serve that community well because if they want to buy a silly phone board airplane from us, they're going to spend the same amount as a silly phone board airplane. And we really want them to be able to get that economically, have a great time, great experience, and not have it be a lot of money. By the way, I call them silly phone board airplanes because it's really what the memories they make, the experience they make is what's the value. I take them very seriously, personally. Shame on here, then. |
| 3:09.9 | They're the most serious of all seriousness. |
| 3:11.5 | But here's the cool thing. |
| 3:13.0 | They have an amazing facility. |
| 3:15.2 | Amazing, you know, customer support. |
| 3:16.9 | Their shipping is incredible. |
| 3:18.3 | We really wanted to see what they did. |
| 3:21.5 | But the biggest thing is we want to get our products on the West Coast so people don't have to spend a lot of money to get it. Yeah, just to dial back just one step. For people that don't know what A Maine is, |
| 3:29.9 | A Maine Hobbies is a fairly large distributor of hobby parts and products and kits. They've been |
| 3:38.6 | operating at Chico, California for the past 10 years. They're just doing an |
