Words to study in your text of course themes and ideas and subjects are key matters in

Bible study and sermon preparation but the least common denominator of inspired scripture are words words matter

words matter because Jesus quoting Deuteronomy says in Matthew 4 4 man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

nothing superfluous or unnecessary in the scriptures the words matter and so a key part of sermon preparation, particularly in the word work phase, the exegetical study of a passage is the study of words. And I want to talk to you about words that you should be looking for as you study your selected sermon text
