Summary

Most of us learn the link between food and feelings very early on.

You fell down, skinned your knee and nothing made it better… until your mom offered you a cupcake. Ahhh, instant relief. Your brain logs it.

You had a really hard day at school and some kids were being mean to you. Your parents wanted to make you feel better and take your pain away. Fastest way to do that? LETS GO GET ICE CREAM. Instant relief. Your brain logs it.

And on and on it goes.

So its no wonder that when we have a hard day, or we feel anxious, overwhelmed, angry, stressed, etc, that your brain offers food as the solution to fix it.

Problem is, it doesn’t. It does temporarily, but once the dopamine hit wears off, the pain sets in again, and now even more of it because now you are beating yourself up about what you just ate in order to not feel.

In todays episode you’ll hear that you are normal. You are not alone. AND, that you CAN unlearn this link. Not overnight. But, with time and practice, you can lean into the discomfort, feel the feelings, and know you’ll be ok.

Join me in this live coaching session to hear the first steps to this detachment.

See you inside 💥

Just hearing how someone else's brain works because you sort of see that we have so much more in common

1:15.2

than we think, right? Like we all carry these shame stories and have these struggles

1:22.1

and sometimes it feels like we're going it alone

1:24.0

especially in the world of social media and highlight reels. It can feel like you're the
