0:16.6	December 8th, 1941, a day less known to history, 500 United States Army troops occupy the Walt Disney Studio in Burbank, California.

0:32.3	So the idea of talking about Disney's involvement in World War II is something that you brought to the table, Will.
0:40.4	What is your fascination with that?
0:42.2	Well, I think the Walt Disney company, obviously a evil company.
0:47.6	Evil, a pretty big force.
0:49.5	And, I mean, there's so much there in that company, even if you don't like it, we could do an episode on their first three animated films.
0:58.5	We could do an episode on the Mickey Mouse cartoons.
1:00.6	We could do an episode on live action Kurt Russell movies from the 60s.
1:05.3	There's so much going on.
1:07.2	Yeah.
1:07.6	But this period is interesting because more than any other studio I can think of, Disney turned
1:13.7	itself over to the U.S.
1:15.4	armed forces during the war.
1:16.9	They're the studio that I associate most with wartime propaganda.
1:21.5	And it came at this period that was also like their golden age, you know?
1:26.4	Snow White and the Seven Dwarves had just come out. Fantasia,
1:29.6	Bambi, these had just come out. But at this point, Disney was also struggling financially.
