Hello heroes and welcome to another exciting episode of One Shot. I'm James

Damato, your Game Master. This week we're playing dialect and it's one of three

exciting kick-starters that I'm going to talk to you about in this intro, so let's get started.

Dialect is a fascinating story game where players collaborate on creating a new language that guides

the story throughout play.

We were fortunate enough to play with the creators of the game and they do a much better job describing it than I do.

Dialect is going to be kick-starting throughout the month of October. So if you like what you hear on the show,

My good friend Keith Baker, the mind behind Gloom, Eberon, and Phoenix Dawn Command, is kick-starting a new game in October called

Illamot.

Illamot is a fresh take on classic card games like blackjack and poker with

edges that we've come to expect and love for modern games. But perhaps the most exciting

thing about Ilamat is that Keith is collaborating with the Decemberists, one of my favorite

bands of all time. Keith was gracious enough to send us over a play test copy of the game,

so I recorded us playing it. Along with one of Keith's collaborators Chris Funk the lead
