Happy to be here today and I cannot even believe it's October.

I feel like I was just recording the August three things to think about.

And now it's the October three things to think about.

So three things to think about in October.

Always, I'm loving this new tradition of this monthly tradition.

So first Monday of the

every month, we are doing three things to think about for the month. And some of them are kind of

seasonal. And some of them might be depending on what's going on in the world. And some of them might be

just depending on what's going on in my life. And so today we have a little bit of a mix of those things.

I want to start with first things to think about

today. I want to talk about kids and gratitude. So I'm going to be talking about this from the perspective

of Vinnie having his fifth birthday last weekend. Oh my gosh. I can't believe it. So he had his fifth

birthday and his fifth birthday party, which for us was our first party where he had like the whole class came and people brought

presents. And he's had like tiny little parties before with like five friends from our little

parent group that we're in. But this was a first class party with like lots of people.

And again, lots of presents. I felt really weird about that. So I'm going to talk a little bit
