I haven't been here for a long amount of time.

However, I have learned so much from reading the posts and watching the videos.

Here's my story as of today.

In mid-July of 2018, I decided that I needed to lose a lot of weight and to work on my fitness. I consulted my doctor. She suggested

that I eliminate foods that are high in carbs and sugars. She also explained the keto lifestyle

and caloric deficit. We also spoke about having an active lifestyle. I weighed in at

448 pounds. I am 6 foot 8. I was morbidly obese. So I started eating as per her suggestions.

I started moving, standing for longer periods of time, walking, taking the steps instead of the

elevator, parking further away,

etc.

When I felt that I had lost a good amount of weight, I followed up with my doctor.

I was given the okay to go to the gym and start working out.

I have been and still am, adjusting my caloric intake as the weight comes off.

Now, as of March 2020, I weigh 295 pounds, lost 153 pounds,

no more pre-diabetes, no more sleep apnea, no more high blood pressure, no longer morbidly

obese or obese. I'm still in the overweight category. There is still some more weight to be

lost. I also went down 12 inches in my waist and three shirt sizes. My BMI went from 42 to 30,

gaining muscle and feeling great. I'm not finished. In fact, I will never be finished. I am in

this for the long haul. Thanks for reading. Bruce. Bruce, your before and after picture is insane. It's insane. The first one is of him with a guitar. You could see his face, his round, puffy. You could see how thick his body is. It's not a full-blown like before and after where you take it with like underwear on and stuff like that.
