His parents were exiled in Ural Mountains gulag under Stalin where they helped the underground Church. He is one of the Catholic Church’s most outspoken prelates, a supporter of the Viganò letters and critic of the Amoris Laetitia ambiguities, who speaks with refreshing frankness about Church corruption and the infiltration of evils in her ranks.

He is Bishop Athanasius Schneider, author (with interviewer Diane Montagna) of Christus Vincit: Christ’s Triumph Over the Darkness of the Age. And His Excellency is this week’s guest.
