Summary

In today's solo episode, Emily talks about going through one of the hardest days she's faced in a while. She explains how living her life with discipline has allowed her to suit up and get through the hard times no matter what. However, on these rare days when it has truly been too much, it's ok to clock out for the day and just take care of yourself. When you're down, it's important to not stay there. Surround yourself with people who can love on you and do what you need to do to get back up. We all have off days and that is ok.

Hello, everyone and welcome to the Evolfe with Emily show. I am your host, Emily Hayden,

0:17.7

and you are joining me for another solo episode. I wanted to talk about when you guys

0:23.4

have the hardest of the hard days. I had one of those days yesterday and so I want to talk you through it

0:29.8

because oftentimes on my podcast I'm going to give you guys the message of show up and suit up.

0:37.1

And that is what I do 99% of the time.

0:40.5

99% of the time when things are less than ideal, when I'm feeling so down, when I'm feeling

0:45.5

unmotivated, I really rely on the fact that I've practiced discipline inside of my life.

0:50.4

And that discipline allows me to show up regardless of how I feel, regardless of where

0:56.2

my mind's at, regardless of what's going on in my life. I show up, I suit up, I get it done,

1:01.5

and then I handle what I need to handle later. But there are those days. There are those days when

1:08.9

you've done that so many days in a row. You've struggled through that so many days in a row you've struggled through that

1:13.3

so many days in a row that you feel like you've reached your end and on these very specific

1:21.1

rare few days when that happens i do believe that sometimes, you just got to call it.

1:28.6

Sometimes you got to clock out for the day.

1:31.5

Sometimes you got to put those responsibilities away and you got to fully take care of yourself.

1:37.5

I think it's important to show up and suit up.

1:39.5

I think if you only relied on ideal circumstances, you would never get to where you're going in life.

1:44.6

So I really do believe that a majority of your life needs to be putting yourself into action

1:49.6

even when you don't want to be. But I am talking about those few days when, again, you've just

1:55.1

done it over and over and over again to where you have beyond nothing left. And I hope that you guys never get there. I hope that

2:04.2

in moments of showing up and suiting up, that you're also taking care of yourself, you're also

2:09.8

doing what you need to do. But just to give you guys a little insight on me, despite doing all of
