Isaiah chapter 55 verses 8 and 9

for my thoughts are not your thoughts.

Neither are your ways, my ways, to clear as the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways,

and my thoughts than your thoughts. This is one of those

good reminders in the book of Isaiah that God is so different from us.

And if we're not careful, we are prone to miss this on a daily basis.

So when we hear God say,

my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, my ways.

We need to be reminded that there's a way that we are

prone to think that is so different from the way God is prone to think.

There's a way we're prone to live that is so different from the way God wants us to live.

So we need to ask him every day to reorient our thoughts according to his thoughts.

To transform our ways according to his ways according to his will because if

we're not careful we can just kind of get caught up in every day just living

like the world thinks we should live and doing what everybody else in the world

is doing when God has called us to think differently, to have a totally different perspective

on our lives than we are prone to have to live

differently to live in a radically different way than we would live if we were
