Summary

0:33.7	And, you know, before we went up to Scottsboro, Alabama, now we're right smack middle in our very own hometown, Birmingham.
0:42.0	Yeah, and this case that we are going to talk about tonight, we did not know about until a friend of ours named Robin Rocky Myers told us about it.
0:53.3	And this case is about Anthony Ray Hinton. And he was actually
1:00.3	good friends with Rocky. The two of them were friends on Alabama death row. And you will see
1:08.4	kind of some parallels in the story and why we just had to cover it after he
1:14.6	mentioned it to us. But there's a lot here to unpack as well. Now, with Anthony, or some people
1:21.3	call him Ray, with Anthony's story, it does go deep. We are not going that deep since we just did that with Rocky. There are
1:28.9	documentaries about this case and things like that. So just know that that is out there.
1:35.4	Like we said, this week's story takes us to Birmingham, Alabama, to the longest serving
1:40.4	death row sentence actually in the books. We're going to cover a case next time,
1:46.8	which was the longest running death row inmate of Alabama. But that one ended in 2010.
1:53.6	This one happened much more recently than that. And side note on that note, this,
2:06.8	Rocky has almost been in there longer than this, than what we're talking about.
2:09.9	So just keep that in mind. Longest sentence on the books.
2:22.3	Now, in Jefferson County, Alabama, on February 25, 1985, a manager was working at a fast food restaurant, and that's the night that it was robbed.
2:26.4	John Davidson was fatally killed during this robbery.
2:37.6	Now, later that night, another fast food restaurant manager, Thomas Fasin, was shot in a separate robbery and died. So in one night we had two fast food restaurant managers who were robbed and died because of that. So of course the police
