So great to meet so many of you listeners at the Grace Agenda Conference. Bless you for

coming and thanks for saying hi. It was such a big wonderful blessing and the whole thing.

Today I thought I would talk about our attitude in the midst of easy circumstances or difficult ones.

And first let's talk about what I mean by attitude. Well your attitude is your mindset.

And notice that word. I mean you have to set your mind. If we just allow our minds to set

themselves, I guarantee you it will not be good. So your mindset is how you are interpreting the

situation. A situation arises. And so you set your mind to your responsibilities. You set your

mind where you believe the Lord wants you to have it. So if we just let it drift, it's not good.

But if we set it in the right place, it can be a great blessing of course. Your mindset is your

attitude. Do you have a good attitude, a godly attitude, or do you have a bad attitude?

Philippians two five through eight says let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

Of course he is our model. He's our Lord. So we want to set our mind the way he would have us.

So let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God

did not consider it robbery to be equal with God but made himself of no reputation,

taking the form of a bond servant and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in

appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death

of the cross. All right. So we are to imitate his attitude, his mindset. He was humble and obedient

in the worst of circumstances. So having a godly mindset when everything is going smoothly and

you're feeling great, it's a blessing of course. But what is a godly attitude, godly mindset

in the midst of wonderful blessings? It certainly should not be a coasting attitude.

All right. Because that's not healthy or good. We should cultivate a mindset of gratitude
