I speak with Indy Rishi Singh about the Indian Farmers protest. Now, some of you may be aware of what

is happening in and around New Delhi, but despite the fact that this issue literally impacts hundreds of millions

of people, it has generally been featured below the fold in the Western news media. So hopefully

this conversation can create more awareness. Indy is an Indian American thinker, writer, and

healer. He is the co-founder of democracy, a platform that incentivizes civic engagement

through gamification. He recently wrote an article for Medium titled What's Happening in India,

and his family still has an operating farm in Punjab. So India and I speak about the scale and history

of farming in India and how the new farm bills

passed by the Modi government have led to the biggest protests in human history.

We explore the role of social media and influencers who have now gotten into the mix,

and we discuss how these protests reflect a broader international tug of

war between globalism and neoliberalism and populism. And we're even treated to a little
