Today we have something a little bit different.

A few months back in January, I had a professor at BYU Contact Me.

His name is Dr. Michael McKay and he teaches a class at BYU called the History of Evolution in the BYU History Department.

And for a class assignment, what he did is he had all of his students work with him to interview a very well-respected scientist named Michael Ruse.

He's actually a philosopher or scientist, but he is the author of a book entitled Can a Darwinian Be a Christian,

which has been published by the University of Cambridge Press in 2001.

And it talks about the relationship between science and religion.

And so Dr. McKay, along with his students, interviewed Dr. Michael Ruse,

and put together a one-hour presentation exploring the history of evolution, the history of evolution and religion,

and the implications for evolution on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or the earliest Church.

I think it's an interesting exploration.

I personally was delighted to see a BYU professor in his students talking and reading so openly about evolution and atheism and secularism on BYU campus.
