| 0:00.0 | Hello everyone welcome back to Fitbody Happy Joints. My name is Shannon. Do you know anyone who seems to just look at a weight and |
| 0:07.4 | Get jacked or on the other hand maybe someone who seems to be doing everything right and does not see any change or any response. |
| 0:14.8 | Well today I want to talk about what may influence someone's response to training |
| 0:19.5 | specifically we will talk about satellite cells. |
| 0:22.8 | So there is variation in how people respond to training, |
| 0:25.6 | and the recommendations that the literature supports |
| 0:28.4 | and that I talk about all the time |
| 0:29.6 | are based on averages. |

| 1:09.3 | used to believe that I was a slow responder to exercise because I did a lot of exercise but I never really saw |
| 1:16.1 | significant changes in my lean mass. Not only that but a lot of exercise really did not feel good for my body. It made me feel broken down and |
| 1:24.2 | depleted. Now granted the quality of my workouts were questionable. I was doing |
| 1:28.6 | lots of boot camp workouts and combination moves and burpies and kind of searching for the burn, but nonetheless I thought I was doing all the |
| 1:38.3 | right things and therefore I was just a slow responder to exercise. |
| 1:42.2 | And what I've since learned is that I actually don't build muscle as |
| 1:46.2 | slowly as I thought. I'm not as slow of a responder as I thought it was. I just wasn't training |
