It began long ago, two young boys in an American town riding their bikes to school and Little League practice.

Over the years, the boys became fast friends, united in their love for stories where things would go horribly wrong.

Pour yourself a strong beverage and buckle up. You're in the shallow end

with Schnebley and talk. So, J.G., it's summertime. That means the living is easy. The living is

easy. People are talking about vacations. And Nancy and I were just coming back from a hike and something

popped into my head. My very own shallow moment, shallow end moment.

This was two years ago in Lennox, Massachusetts, where our good friends, the Browns,

had invited us to join them to see James Taylor in concert on July 4th.

I remember you telling me about this.

Yeah.

So the house that we were renting in, were renting, was about a mile from Tanglewood,

the location of the concert that was taking place that night.

And Derek and I decided, hey, why don't we preosition our rental car in the parking lot at Tanglewood, which is actually a giant lawn?

And then we'll walk back to the house.

And then when it's time to get closer to the concert, we'll just take a big red wagon with all of our, you know,

beach chairs and picnic baskets and food and wine and all that stuff. We'll take the wagon

down and enjoy the the pre-concert dinner, our picnic, then enjoy the concert, then just put the

wagon back in the big

SUV and drive back home because by then it's going to be, you know, probably 10 o'clock at night.

Perfect idea. So we tell Nancy and Terry, our wives, our plan, they say great. So we have just the one rental car now for the,

for the four of us. So Derek and I drive to Tanglewood, find this great parking space to pre-position

it, and then we walk back to the verbo, to the rental house, where we're staying.
