| 0:30.4 | making, being decisive. And this is a huge, huge piece of entrepreneurship. People who cannot make decisions, |
| 0:41.3 | people who have to over process things really struggle with moving forward in business. |
| 0:45.8 | Now, we all have different designs. We all have different mindsets when it comes to the ways |
| 0:50.9 | that we make decisions, how we are around change and all that kind of stuff. |
| 0:56.1 | So there's a lot of factors that come into play. But the bottom line is, the more decisive you |
| 0:59.9 | are, the more quickly you can make decisions, the less opportunities you're going to miss |
| 1:04.1 | and the less likely you are to be distracted by things that you really need to say no to. |
| 1:09.9 | So I, in previous episodes, have talked about the importance of saying no when you have a clear goal and vision in mind. There are going to be lots of things you say no to. In fact, you're going to say no to more things than you're going to say yes to, especially if you're someone who has a lot of opportunities coming your way and doors opening up. Now, I've talked in previous episodes about what is it. Do you say no to and what is it you say yes to? Well, it's pretty simple. And if not, I'm going to say no. It doesn't mean that you won't say yes next time it comes around or whatever. But the bottom line is you're going to say no to things and spending time on things that are not in alignment with what you're setting out to do and your intentions. So that could be watching a fun new movie. It could be spending four hours watching TV. |
| 2:01.8 | It could be going on a trip that maybe it's not time to go on because you have a business |
| 2:07.9 | goal this month. |
| 2:09.5 | But it doesn't mean you're limiting yourself long term. |
| 2:14.6 | Right now, that being said, there are lots of decisions that need to be made along the way. |
| 2:18.7 | You need to be able to decide yes or no on things. And it's really powerful to be able to decide |
| 2:23.7 | quickly. Now, one of the things that I see, and I'm always looking for in leadership, a leadership |
| 2:29.4 | quality in people is decisiveness. Like being able to know right away if something is an alignment with what |
| 2:35.3 | you're up to and what you're committed to or not. Right. And someone who's really wishy-washy |
| 2:40.0 | and unsure and all over the place, that is just not a leadership quality. I think we would all agree |
