Hi this is Steve. One of the comments John and I get most often, whether it is on

Twitter, Facebook, Patreon or Instagram, is that someone can't believe that we

still haven't talked about and then they name a great film actor or director.

Godfather one and two certainly come up all the time but so does 7th samurai

Schindler's lists bridge on the river quay Lord of the Rings seven not to mention

on the waterfront,

Nosferatu, raging bull, Groundhog Day,

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,

the last picture show, Chinatown,

and on and on and on and on.

And you know what? All those people are absolutely right. You see if

there's one thing doing this podcast has taught me it's that there are so many

powerful funny brilliant and beloved movies out there and in 150 episodes

John and I have barely begun to scratch the surface. In fact believe it or not

John and I have never actually done a true silent film.

Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times doesn't really count.

And that's decades of film history we haven't even touched.

And what better place to start than what the film Orson Wells called the greatest

comedy and perhaps the greatest movie ever made?

Buster Keaton's, the general.

Now my guess is there are a lot of movie fans out there who have never seen
