Hello everyone welcome back to fit body happy joints today we are talking about the training differences in maintaining muscle versus building muscle but first I want to read an Evello member story I've been doing these on the podcast recently. This comes from Danielle from Boston.

0:15.7

She said, I came upon Evelo accidentally while scrolling through my social media feed on

0:19.8

Instagram about two years ago. I watched a few videos of Shannon performing

0:23.8

various exercises and explaining her philosophy. I have an extensive fitness

0:27.8

background. I grew up as a dancer and switched over to fitness in college

0:31.4

starting with regular and step aerobics moving into

0:34.3

spinning and running over the years and most recently prior to Evelo Peloton and

0:38.6

orange theory. I always incorporated some strength workouts and I do work out with a great trainer, but strength was not my focus.

0:45.0

1:05.2

taking Evelo classes and must admit I was a bit slow to fully switch over to the Evelo method, but once I did, I was completely

1:10.9

hooked. I'm 47 years old, I have three kids and am definitely the

1:14.6

strongest I've ever been in my life. I feel a big difference in my body overall.

1:19.8

I have more energy throughout the day and my workouts don't leave me exhausted but they leave

1:25.1

me with that cooked feeling which I love.

1:28.2

Not only can I feel the difference but I can also see the difference in my body composition

1:32.0

which is really rewarding too. It's so important

1:34.8

for women to focus on building strength but the fitness industry definitely misguides us with

1:38.9

over emphasis on cardio workouts and compound movements.

1:42.6

And then she goes on to plug the podcast
