We need greater awareness church, is that fair?

We've been a bit asleep.

We've been, I don't know whether we've been hibernating, I don't know whether we've been distracted,

I don't know whether we have been just in a bunker of our own dreams and objectives and goals,

but we've got to, with the help of the Holy Spirit, raise our vision a bit.

The titles do not be surprised. It was the general title for the three sessions.

And in this particular one, don't be surprised by a physical battle.

We've been exploring a bit of history of the church and I'm working on a

little project I hope to be able to share with you in the weeks ahead but it's a

part of that history of the church but the first 400 years of the church, there were some

very consistent struggles that had to be faced by the believers in that fledgling idea.

And we've already explored the spiritual battle that contest with other religions and the

temptation to say that Jesus was won among many gods and there was nothing unique

about him. Had the church failed that test, we wouldn't be gathered in buildings on Sundays these days.

And then there was the mental battle, and that was an internal battle within the church,

not from outside forces the internal
