Another really dark finding is that a recent study of 21,000 women in 27 European countries

found consistently that women who are higher educated or earning more than their partners

were much more likely to report all types of intimate partner violence.

And from an evolutionary psychology perspective, yeah, it's not good, right?

You know, and that's maybe an unintended consequence and the way that works is if you're

a man with a higher status mate who's spending a lot of her time around other high status

males while you're away from her, that that gives you a cue that you might be inclined to lose her

and you actually might.
