So as Western culture grows more dark, more evil, more secular, we have to decide, are we going to treat each others as allies or adversaries?

Since this is the year 2022, that means we are 2022 years from the birth of Christ.

Just 11 years from today is the 2000th anniversary of the Great Commission.

I hope one of you, because I won't be here next year, will make a resolution that Baptist take the next 10 years to finish the task.

Of the Great Commission in our generation before the 2000th anniversary of the Church.

Are we going to keep bickering over secondary issues? Are we going to keep the main thing the main thing?

That's Rick Warren speaking at the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting last summer.

He said he wouldn't be back for this summer. Well, in essence, he is.

He is taking aim at this summer's convention to be held here in about 10 days.

And he wants to see the ordination of women to be permitted.

His congregation was recently ousted from the Southern Baptist Convention, and he's challenging that decision.
