Today, on the podcast, we have Claire Learner, who is a child development specialist with

over 30 years of experience working with children and families.

Claire, I heard her on another podcast and I knew that we had to have her on because she

just wholeheartedly understands that there is some nuance in parenting.

So right now when we have experts on or when we go on Instagram, we get kind of like

the same coaching and the same theories and the same scripts.

And what Abby and I have realized is that for one of our kids, those don't work.

And so we need people that are going to talk about what what happens when that gentle

parenting advice doesn't work.

What happens when you have a kiddo that is more sensitive is more reactionary, a kid

that sees red sometimes and you know you can't deescalate he or she like other kids.

So that was what we talked about today.

I think whether you have one of these kiddos or not, there's so many tangible things inside

of this episode.

And what I really loved about it is that she gave solutions without getting the same solutions

that everyone else gives and she also takes the comparison out of it comparison from

yourself with other parents comparison between children and to really treat that child exactly

how that child needs to be treated in that situation.

And just giving permission to explore the other options that we may have not heard of.

So overall I cannot wait to try some of these solutions in our own house and we can't

wait to see what you're gathering from this episode as well.
