Yeah. Hey, what's up and welcome back to Surf Splender.

This is your host, David Scales.

And this is actually our 157th episode of Surf Splendor. And never have I had such an overwhelming outpouring of support and praise as I have for this last episode that I published last week with Sal Masa Kayla.

I think that we really touched on something there.

And I just wanted to say that it was really affirming and validating

for me to get that kind of a response. After I recorded that episode with Sal, I actually

sat in traffic for two hours to get home. Sal lives in Venice Beach, California, I live,

which is where we recorded the episode and then I live in Huntington Beach.

So, and then, of course, you got to deal with L.A. and Orange County traffic for those of you who don't live in the area.

I'm sure that our traffic here is infamous enough to where you're familiar with it.

But that whole drive, that two hours felt really, I don't know, I just felt very content and satisfied.

This podcast kind of feels like a hamster wheel at times where, especially if I'm meeting my goal to publish weekly, as soon as I published an episode, I have to direct my focus onto preparation for the next episode. So there's almost no time to revel in completed work. It's just publish and move on. And especially when I have to

layer on, you know, actual work obligations, family relationships, all that sort of stuff. There's no time just to enjoy the work that I do with Surf Splendor oftentimes.

And so that two hours that I spent sitting in traffic was really kind of oddly satisfying,

where I felt good about my role and the preparation that I did prior to our conversation.

And then I felt like Sal really brought

his A game. And then he warmly welcomed me into his home to record the episode. So he delivered

on his end of the workload. And because of my comfort and his graciousness, I was able to just

kind of settle into a casual comfort and just riff with
