Hello and welcome to episode 156 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Today on the show will be reviewing the TV series Hannibal about the

Hannibal psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter who first appeared in the novel's Red Dragon and The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas

Harris. And this will potentially involve spoilers for season one and two of the Hannibal TV show,

as well as the first three episodes of season three, so just be aware of that.

And I'm joined by three guests.

So first up, we've got our producer John Joseph Adams.

He's the editor of Light Speed and Nightmare Magazines and also the series editor of Best American

science fiction and fantasy. He's also edited many other anthologies, including the recent

books Wastelands too, Operation Arcana, and the end has come.

So John, welcome back.

And also joining us today is Kat Howard, making her fourth appearance on the show.

Her short fiction appears in Lightspeed and the magazine of fantasy and science fiction,

and her novella, the end of the sentence, co-written with Maria Devana Headley, was named one of NPR's best books of 2014.

Her debut novel, Roses and Rot, will be published early next year.
