| 0:00.0 | Hey, what's up? Welcome to a brand new week episode 1535 for you. Coming out on the 15th |
| 0:11.3 | of March, guess what that is. Beware the I'd of March. It is indeed the I'd of March. I |
| 0:17.9 | also want to give a shout out to Chris Christensen, longtime listener of Side of Soul School, |
| 0:22.1 | longtime podcaster himself. Check out his website, amateurtraveler.com, amateurtraveler.com, |
| 0:27.8 | or his podcast, the amateur traveler. He actually started that podcast back in 2005. I think of Chris |
| 0:34.1 | today because a while back, I said something, I think it was in September, the middle of September, |
| 0:38.5 | I was like, is there an I'd of September? Is that just a March thing? I'm only familiar with the |
| 0:42.5 | one from Julius Caesar. And he actually wrote in to say, well, every month had an I'd in the Roman |
| 0:47.2 | system, although it was more often the 13th for some strange reason. But in March, the I'd |
| 0:52.3 | spell on the 15th day. So a fun fact for you today. Every month has an I'd, but normally on the 13th, |
| 0:57.2 | thanks again, Chris. And in today's episode, speaking of fun facts, a listener recently learned |
| 1:02.8 | Morse code. And they learned actually that Morse code could do more than just send an SOS signal, |
| 1:07.8 | which is what most of us might think of if we think of Morse code. You got those little dots and |
| 1:11.2 | dashes. But what can you do with that besides, you know, send the SOS signal when you're on a |
| 1:15.6 | deserted island? Might there be a research and interest in old skills? That's our question. |
| 1:21.4 | It's always interesting what comes back into fashion or what generates renewed interest over time. |
| 1:25.8 | So we use this question to consider how someone might bring together people with this kind or any |
| 1:31.6 | other kind of shared interest. So essentially, it's about community storytelling and how to monetize |
| 1:36.9 | that, of course. So I also have a real world example in mind that could be helpful to consider. |
| 1:42.4 | All that's coming up in this episode. How can a listener attract new interest in old skills and |
| 1:46.5 | get paid for it? |
| 1:47.3 | Hi Chris, this is Julie and I've been following your projects for a couple of years now. |
