There is one thing about the evening hymns we've been studying in the course of this week,

as I look back on the one we did yesterday and ahead to the ones we'll do the rest of this week.

Sometimes if you could criticize, you might criticize them for being a bit generic.

They talk about God, they talk about creation, those are very strong themes.

They talk about God's providence, protection, and they do not neglect the notion of God a Savior.

But some of the evening hymns that we've studied, if there is a criticism to be leveled at them,

might be that they're not specific enough to Christ, not so the evening hymn that we will be

looking at on this Tuesday afternoon. In part two of our five part daily series on evening hymns,

Christ, mighty Savior. If you have not heard this hymn before or sung it before,

after this hour is over, you will be singing it in your sleep.

Hopefully as you go to sleep, it is one of the grandest of the evening hymns.
