This is part two of our chat with Kevin McCown.

One of the things we've spoken about a lot in this podcast actually

is gay actors playing gay roles and should gay actors play straight roles

and adjacent to that is, and this is now in 2021, these long overdue conversations are happening,

let's say, but also like able-bodied actors playing disabled roles.

And how do you feel about that now because you are, that was a long time ago

and that conversation was very different then.

Oh yeah, I don't think if Glee was me today, and no way in hell,

should I have been playing already.

I think we know better now.

Then as like a 20 year old auditioning for it, it didn't...

Well, it crossed my mind of like, oh of course they...

But I wasn't the first time I auditioned for somebody who was in a wheelchair.

And so sort of a growing up when you're trying to be an actor,

you're like, you will play anything.

Like it doesn't matter, you'll do it.

And so there wasn't the consideration of like this should only go to somebody who's actually in a chair.
