Hello, how are you all? Welcome to Homo sapiens.

It's an autumnal day here in the jolly veils of the copswolds where I am currently listening.

I'm looking out at the trees falling from the leaves.

I'm looking at the dog who has located the local radiator.

Pressed himself up against it.

And I'm thinking I'm ready for winter.

I just made a delicious sausage casserole.

It wasn't vegan. It had sausages in it.

I tell you why, because my friend was coming round to love sausages.

So I made him sausages.

But there was a miscommunication between me and my husband.

I bought sausages, then he bought sausages as well.

So we have millions of them.

Waste not want not, and I'm not a vegan as well.

But you know, I know that often I share my vegan recipe, shall I say.

I made a lovely Harry Biker's recipe, which is a sausage casserole.

They like a bit of paprika in their sausage casserole, which I thought was rather ingenious.

And actually, I was thinking about it.

When you make a sausage casserole, it's very much the same as making a minestrone.

Except a minestrone has celery in it.

And I'm thinking, what a deliciously soothing sort of wintery lunch that is.
