I'm not playing any of the song right now for fear of offending some of you guys.

But I don't think a discussion about ego would not be complete without a little Kanye West.

And, you know, we started this discussion back in episode 149 about ego as the enemy.

And, you know, I'm not, I'm not calling out Kanye here.

This is, I think what Kanye does that I think he takes a lot of, he takes a lot of criticism for is he puts his neurosis, he puts his ego, he puts his narcissism, he puts all the stuff that a lot of us

hide in front of everybody. He just puts it out on stage.

He puts it in his art. He puts it into just about everything he does. And so what's happened is

there's been some great success that he's had in terms of he's created some great art.

Musically, some of the arts better than others. I'm, you know, me, I'm an old hip-hop guy. So there's some things I like that he does

and other things I don't like. For example, I don't think he's a great lyricist. And I don't

get much out of what he actually wraps about but as a musician

there's incredible pieces of work that he's done this this song included runaways I think

amazing the the sound of it and the the scope of it but but and and I'm a big fan of some of his

his clothing I mean I love I love the shoes my my wife and I are constantly having an

argument about whether the shoes are nice or not. One of my oldest kids is a

big sneaker head and he loves Yeezys. And so we were talking about whether it would be

appropriate for him to buy Yeezys. One, is it appropriate for him to spend the money or for us

to spend the money for these shoes? That's, that's one question. The second one is,
