All right, Matt. So today's episode is something I'm extremely excited about.

There is this thing that happens often in an organization.

What's it like when a new person comes into an organization?

They could be a threat. You don't know what you're getting. You have a whole thing.

It's kind of working. Everybody's established. Even if it's not working, it's their lives.

And they have the way things go. There's a social pecking order.

There's a lot there. A new person is a wild card.

And you don't just walk in and have a place in this social dynamic.

You got to kind of run a little bit.

But conversely, if you're the person that's walking into a new situation, what's going on in your head?

Everything I just said, but the other way. Okay, I know everybody here is established.

They know each other. They have a thing. They got inside jokes.

This is working for them to some level.

I need to understand very clearly what role I play and I'm nervous.

And I feel like the outside person, I don't know what I'm doing.

And you're not getting the full version of my personality in the early going here.

I'm in learning mode.

Okay, there is a thing that I am convinced has existed since the dawn of time.

Like before written language, I think this has probably been a thing.

And it's called the Fools Arend. Have you heard of this?
