| 0:00.0 | Hi, hello and welcome back to the Power Hour podcast. It's still so new for me to say the new name. |
| 0:06.4 | And I guess this is still only my second podcast back since we took that really long break from last April to the end of the year with all the work for the new PowerFit app. |
| 0:14.4 | But I am so excited to be back to podcasting. I am still not setting like a set schedule. I know with time that will help me and it will obviously help y'all, but I'm not quite there yet on the other side of this really hard and hectic season. So I do hope that in the next month I kind of come up with what a podcast schedule looks like. And I obviously want to set something that's frequent enough for y'all to be excited about |
| 0:38.6 | and to stay listening, but also something that's not too, like, I don't think I can do one once a week. |
| 0:45.2 | Maybe I could do like twice a month or something like that. But anyways, I will figure that out |
| 0:49.1 | and let y'all know. So what I want to talk about today are ways to unslump yourself. And the reason I want to |
| 0:57.1 | talk about this is number one, it's still January whenever I'm recording this. And so January is |
| 1:02.9 | usually such a fresh, new, exciting month of a new year. And so obviously all the New Year's |
| 1:09.6 | resolutions and all these new things that we |
| 1:11.7 | want to do come at the beginning of the month. As we are nearing the end of the month, I think that I |
| 1:17.0 | really start to see not only do a lot of New Year's resolutions get broken and forgotten about, |
| 1:22.9 | but I also think maybe people start to feel like, I don't know, like, upset that they haven't |
| 1:29.0 | stuck to their New Year's resolution or overwhelmed because what they were trying to do was |
| 1:34.1 | just maybe like too much to add into their daily life or maybe their goals were like |
| 1:39.4 | kind of too big and lofty and expected in such a short time frame. |
| 1:44.0 | And so all of those things can kind of |
| 1:46.1 | leave us feeling like in a slump. And so when I was thinking about the title of this podcast, |
| 1:51.6 | I'm like, I'm going to talk about ways to unslump yourself. And the first thing I thought about |
| 1:55.8 | was the Dr. Seuss book. I don't know how many of you are mothers out there, but I love the Dr. Seuss, oh, the places you can go book. It's one of Croix's favorites, whenever, I love whenever he chooses it, and it's definitely one of my absolute favorites to read to him. So when I was thinking of ways to unslump yourself, I go straight to this part of the book that says, and when you're in a slump, you're not in for much |
| 2:17.5 | fun because unslumping yourself is not easily done. So there's our little rhyme for the day. |
| 2:23.9 | But then I got to thinking about it. And yes, being in a slump is hard. And so hard things are |
| 2:29.7 | maybe hard to turn around. But I also think this list of steps that I've got written out for y'all, |
