Hi, this is Steve. In a little less than six weeks we will see the end of one of the most contentious, controversial, and divisive elections in American history.

The two sides have not only attacked each other's policies, but also their honesty, their competence, and even their love of country.

Both sides claim to represent real American values, but often fail to explain exactly what those values are.

Of course, if they had asked the Cinnophiles where to find real American values, we would

have told them to look no further than the 1939 Frank Capra Classic, Mr. Smith goes to Washington. It's a film about idealism and corruption, the power of hope

and the politics of fear. It is the story of a single man standing up against a great political

machine. It's one of the great films of all time

and just as relevant today as it was almost 80 years ago. Mr. Smith is available for Rental on Amazon

and iTunes and there's a really nice Blu-ray with lots of

bonus material. So if you haven't seen the movie I definitely recommend checking it

out because the way things are in this country right now one thing we could all use is a little more Frank Capra.
