Today we'll be interviewing Dan Carlin.

He's the host of the popular Hardcore History Podcast.

It's just one of my favorite podcasts. He talks about history and he kind of takes a science fiction approach to things. I can read a couple of descriptions of some of the episodes that'll give you a sense of this.

So episode 13.

What would happen if half the population died in a short period of time?

Dan looks at the black death and other plagues that created almost

apocalyptic conditions in the past, and maybe in the future.

Episode 9, what was the cause of the collapse of the Bronze Age?

War, famine, natural disaster, Sauron, the Dark Lord.

Dan looks at all the potential villains except for Sauron.

And episode six.

Spartans, Athenians, Persians, and references to Star Trek all make appearances in this look

at the dramatic and extremely consequential Greek and Persian

wars. Yeah, I wish my history classes were like that. I mean, you know, if you could sprinkle in a

Star Trek reference or two that would have made it a lot more lively, I think.
