Alex is a mentor of mine. He's known me since I was in primary school.

All my dance moves are from him. He's a UK popping champion. He's taught people like diversity

and is very well known in the dance industry in the UK and even the world

in it.

And I wanted to bring Alex on today because obviously we all know the madness that's

been happening other than the whole COVID thing, all the rights in America.

And me and Alex, we always have these conversations when we link up because we're both from

East London. He's black. I'm Turkish. We've always spoke about racism in a way where we've

experienced and what we've seen from East London. Alex is a little bit older than me. So he's

seen it from when?

Well, I mean, East London.

Well, I'm, yeah, it's 1979.

When did your parents, came from the Caribbean?

Yeah, they came from the Caribbean in the late 60s, late 60s, yeah, at late 60s at different points. So my dad came

in via working in the army and my mom came over for nursing. But then my dad lived in different

parts of East London, including Stokenew and Myeland and some other places. But then we moved to

Custom House in the in the mid-70s. Yeah. And then we moved to Custom House in the mid-70s.
