Hey I'm here with Austin Roos. He is the president of C-Fam, Center for Family and Human Rights.

He's also the author of two books, two books last year, he's been busy writing, and he speaks and lectures for and at the UN and so I wanted to have him on today to talk about the

UN, talk about his books and also talk about current events in the Catholic Church

where he's at in Washington DC so Austin welcome.

You should tell people how long I have known you. You know we met 2006 at the

Catholic Information Center and you took me out to lunch several times

taught me all about Catholics politics, politics, DC, enough for me to leave a year

later. I didn't want any more of it. But you've stayed, you stayed in purgatory.

And you told me one time that you made the final decision to convert while you were at the National Catholic Prayer breakfast.

Is that correct? Am I remembering that correctly?

That's right. I came up on the invitation of Bill Stets and Father Bill Stetson.

Yeah, that kind of sealed it, you know.

Met some great people, meant a lot of great Catholics,

and yeah, and that's where I got hired to do the

Catholic Information Center and I renounced Holy orders as an Episcopal priest and

like a week or two later I flew up to DC and and started there that's where I met you so you're one of the first probably

25 Catholics I ever met you know as a Catholic now I helped found that event by the way you did didn't know that yeah

yeah I was one of the founders of the National Catholic Prayer breakfast so

what did that so how did you how did you know Stetson? Oh through the privilege the whatever that was called.

There was the pastoral provision. Yes. And Bill Stetson was the point guy for the

CDF in America.
