Summary

The events that unfolded at Sandy Hook Elementary School rocked us as we heard about what happened. We sat in our chairs after we recorded this podcast as tears filled our eyes. How is it that this week we would be talking about grief during the holidays and this tragic event happens? We do not know why, but we serve an awesome God. Our prayers go to the families and marriages that have been impacted by loss. We look back over eight years as we celebrate the short life of our son Andrew. He never took a breath and yet his life has impacted our marriage in many ways. This week we talk about how time has healed our broken hearts and our broken marriage. In both dark times and joyous times it is amazing how God has worked in us. 0:51.0	Businesses are wrapping up their year end and there's just all of these things
0:55.2	coming at us from a lot of different directions. Yeah, you know for us this week alone
1:01.7	we've had a couple of performances by a daughter Abbey. She was in a choir
1:07.2	So she's had a couple of performances. She has another one. We celebrated our son Alex's 10th birthday. We are headed off to a play this evening.
1:20.0	You know, on top of that we have the Christmas shopping that we still want to do
1:24.4	there are Christmas parties that we are attending that we are putting on so
1:30.4	there's still a lot going on and like Elisa said, you know, we're only halfway through.
1:36.0	Christmas is around the corner and if you're anything like us,
1:40.0	you're probably trying to find some time to steal away though just for you too so that you can have some quality time together so you don't go running into Christmas stressed out all bald up, and then Christmas Day comes and it's just a sort of a huge
1:58.0	let down or just a relief and then there's no connection. That's not what we want to happen for you guys.
2:05.0	Well, and we were actually, Alex's birthday, the kid had the most amazing 10-year-old
